About HUB Magazine

07.04.11

What a ride it has been for the HUB team. From our tiny idea, HUB has far and above surpassed our expectations.

Originally set up (no franchise involved) by three mothers: Carol, Sarah and Emma, we collectively shared a vision to positively lift the town’s community spirit.

In order to do so, the production of an informative and high quality magazine that showcases local talent and businesses has come about.

Kate completed the Hub team, joining in December 2009 and bringing her marketing skills with her.

Recognising what a great place it is to live, the common denominator that bound us was passion - our passion for Saffron Walden and its people.

Like a magnetic force, that one very powerful word attracted other like-minded people, and by applying ourselves together whole heartedly, passion is the foundation on which HUB stands firm.

HUB is a free quarterly magazine distributed throughout the Saffron Walden area. This stylish magazine is a platform enabling any business, club, society or service to obtain the recognition it deserves within the community.

Split into useful sections and packed with relevant information regarding Saffron Walden and its surrounding area, i.e What’s on, Cinema listings, Charity news, it is a source in which our readers refer to time and time again.

HUB is distributed to the local and surrounding village schools, shops, supermarkets, (Waitrose & Tesco), restaurants, cafe’s, leisure facilities railway stations, (Shelford, Whittlesford, Audley End and Newport) and excitingly Stansted Airport, I suppose you could say HUB has gone global.

Our target market is based on location, as we cater for all age groups, with our advertising campaigns, editorial and features.

An amazing amount of work goes into producing each issue. Yes, it requires effort, but the process seems to be fluid. Features and editorial articles are constantly flowing in and falling into place easily. There is no doubt HUB Magazine is meant to be part of the town.

HUB Magazine is a window, so whether you commute to London for work, or grew up in the area but live somewhere else, you can flick through the pages and stay connected.

And don’t just take our word for it, here are a few examples of the nice things people say about HUB magazine...

"Hub captures the essence of the town..."

"Reading HUB is like walking through Saffron Walden on a Market day..."

"Hub is my Saffron Walden..."

"HUB is great to read whilst in the bath..."
