Urban Picnic is an exciting new gallery and working studio in Saffron Walden, showcasing contemporary photography from national and international photographers.

The owners, Rob and Marta Hill, have been running a successful design business for many years. Rob graduated as a graphic designer and illustrator from Kingston University and straight away became involved in digital art, working as a lead character artist in the games industry for over 10 years. Rob's technical knowledge and background as an artist is essential to their design and photography business. Marta, with her art history background and psychology degree provides behind the scenes support. Originally from Hungary, Marta brings cultural diversity into their partnership.

At the beginning of this year the opportunity arose to open a photographic gallery and studio as an extension to their design business. Now organizing their second exhibition on an urban theme, there is a huge excitement to show works with more narratives. The exhibition will open on the 22nd of October.

As Rob and Marta go into their third month new and thrilling opportunities are emerging through collaborations with local fashion stores and businesses to showcase and develop brands, both in design and photography.
